TRIPLE CREEK RANCH INTRODUCES EXCITING NEW ACTIVITIES FOR 2012

Darby, MT – (December 5, 2011)¾ Triple Creek Ranch, Montana’s all-inclusive hideaway resort, announces exciting new activities for 2012.  Whether seeking a romantic getaway, the thrill of mountain adventure, or an authentic cowboy experience, Triple Creek Ranch guests will have their choice of fun new activities or the comfort of familiar old faithful pastimes.

Set amidst the forested slopes of the awe inspiring Bitterroot Mountains in Western Montana, Triple Creek Ranch offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a luxury experience surrounded by natural beauty and America’s cowboy culture.  For rates as low as $750 per couple per night, guests can relax in the comfort of a deluxe private cabin, dine in the world-class restaurant, and enjoy an array of activities ranging from fly-fishing or casting lessons to horseback riding, hiking, nature and birding tours, and more.  In 2012, Triple Creek Ranch is launching a series of new activities including skijoring, archery, dog sledding and team penning.
·         Skijoring (Winter and Spring)
Originally a means of Siberian and Nordic winter transportation, equestrian skijoring has evolved into a competitive sport in Montana.  Skiers are drawn by mounted horses through snowy meadows and along forest trails creating an experience that merges snow skiing with the feel of water skiing.  The Triple Creek Ranch version focuses more on fun than competition with the experience tailored to each guest’s skill level.  (Price: included.)
·         Dog Sledding (Winter)
The image of a team of sled dogs mushing along blue-tinted, snowy ridges with silent, shrouded mountains in the background pulls at the heartstrings of every romantic outdoors person.  Ten-time Iditarod Race finisher and mushing guide, Jessie Royer, will instruct and guide guests as they experience this distinctly winter activity first hand.  (Price: $325 per sled, single person; $355 per sled, two people.)
·         Archery (Year Round)
Archery, a sport invented about 100,000 years ago, carries on at Triple Creek Ranch.  Guests may test their skill and accuracy while participating in a memorable activity that evokes images of the history and lore of Montana’s colorful past.  (Price: included.)
·         Team Penning (Year Round)
In the real-world lives of cowgirls and cowboys, cows and calves must be sorted and penned; it’s a fact of ranch life.  It’s real life cowpoke fun too.  Team penning on horseback is a fast-paced, hands-on, timed event, where a team of guests/cowhands separate individual calves from the herd and move those calves to their separate pens.  Any level of horsemanship can do the job, but by the end of the event horse, rider and calf will savor the rewarding glow of accomplishment.  (Price: $150 per person.)
·         Klicks for Chicks 2012 (November 1-5, November 8-12 and November 15-19)
In November 2011, Triple Creek Ranch successfully hosted the 2nd annual Klicks for Chicks, an all-female equestrian adventure.  In 2011, Klicks for Chicks benefited the “Summit for Parkinson’s,” a Montana based non-profit and sister-organization to the Brian Grant Foundation, dedicated to raising awareness, educating and inspiring those with Parkinson’s Disease.  The event raised a total of $2,816 for the cause — one dollar for every kilometer ridden by participants—and the program’s popularity has led to an expanded series of dates for the event in 2012.  Created and led by Triple Creek Ranch owner Barbara Barrett, Klicks for Chicks is a unique Triple Creek Ranch event, drawing hardy women from around the world.  In 2012, Triple Creek Ranch plans to run three Klicks for Chicks events in November.  (Price:  Included)
