In the Rocky Mountains, North America’s Bitterroot Valley offers some of the most scenic vistas and fabulous opportunities around every hillside to discover native species in their natural habitat. With the help of our sharp-eyed guides, search for species that inhabit and seasonally migrate through Western Montana while you take in the backdrop of our spectacular mountain scenery.
While touring the Ranch and surrounding area in our special viewing vans, discover the local herds of elk, mule deer, whitetail and bison on the horizon. Spy eagles and hawks soaring through Montana’s big sky and a variety of nesting song birds and water fowl up close and personal through our high-powered scopes. Keep an eye out for majestic bull moose, pronghorn antelope, big horn sheep, black bear and an occasional shy fox or coyote. You may follow the track of a silent wolf or mountain lion.
