Although tours are available year-round, the Bitterroot Valley offers some of North America’s best winter birding. With the help of our sharp-eyed guides, search for the 400+ species known to visit Western Montana while you take in the backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery. Watch a peregrine falcon swoop from the sky at 150 miles per hour as one of our local falconers shows off her prize bird. Visit Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge to see migratory ducks, geese and swans, then move on to our CB Ranch to watch eagles and hawks soar through Montana’s big sky. Also look for majestic bull elk, moose, mule deer, antelope, big horn sheep, bear and an occasional shy fox, coyote or wolf and the track of a silent mountain lion.
For the more serious birder watcher, take the 100 species in a day challenge during our all-day, all-year activity, '100TH BIRDAY'. Participants will explore Western Montana's breath-taking scenery, nature and extreme birding-watching at its best!
Cabin rates starting at $950* per couple, per night. Our all inclusive fees, include your luxurious accommodations, snacks, breakfast, lunch, gourmet dinners, house wines and house spirits and all featured on-ranch activities.
