*safari and excursion season now completed for 2020
A longtime favorite for both new and return guests, this Nature Safari takes you on a journey through the vast 26,000+ expanse of the CB Ranch. Scheduled in the morning when wildlife is most active, search for species that inhabit and seasonally migrate through western Montana while you take in the backdrop of our spectacular mountain ranges.
While touring the Ranch and surrounding area from the comfort of our luxury 4WD vehicles, discover the local herds of elk, mule deer, whitetail and bison on the horizon. Spy eagles and hawks soaring through Montana’s big sky, and a variety of nesting song birds and water fowl up close and personal through our high-powered scopes. Keep an eye out for majestic bull moose, pronghorn, big horn sheep, black bear and an occasional shy fox or coyote. You may follow the track of a silent wolf or mountain lion. You never know what the day may bring, but you will be pleasantly surprised taking home this once-in-a-life-time experience and new appreciation for nature’s gifts.
Nature Safaris are scheduled daily from 8:30am to 11:30am from May through October. There is a maximum of five people for each tour.
Designed for photographers of all levels, our Ranch Photographer will lead this excursion and work alongside guests to get the most out of their smartphone or personal digital camera. Customized to the day and the desires of the group – focus on landscapes, wildlife, and/or flora.
Photo safaris are offered May through October on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 11:30am. There is a maximum of five people for each tour.
