In the Rocky Mountains, North America’s Bitterroot Valley offers some of the most scenic vistas and fabulous opportunities around every hillside to discover Montana flora and fauna in their natural habitat. With the help of our sharp-eyed guides, search for species that inhabit and seasonally migrate through Western Montana while you take in the backdrop of our spectacular mountain scenery.
While touring the Ranch and surrounding area from the comfort of our luxury 4WD vehicles, discover the local herds of elk, mule deer, whitetail and bison on the horizon. Spy eagles and hawks soaring through Montana’s big sky and a variety of nesting song birds and water fowl up close and personal through our high-powered scopes. Keep an eye out for majestic bull moose, pronghorn, big horn sheep, black bear and an occasional shy fox or coyote. You may follow the track of a silent wolf or mountain lion. You never know what the day may bring, but you will be pleasantly surprised taking home this once-in-a-life-time experience and new appreciation for nature’s gifts.
The local wildlife tends to be most active in the morning hours, so Nature Safaris are scheduled from 8:30 – 11:30am. Guided Nature Safaris are available Daily throughout the year.
Calling all Nature Safari lovers – this fall local experts Kate Davis and Denver Holt join us on ranch for Autumn Birding in the Bitterroot! Spend a glorious October weekend discovering birds in our Montana backyard!
