River Kayaking
K4C Horseback Trail Ride on the CB Ranch

Over the course of your trip, you will have the opportunity to travel over the routes Lewis and Clark took while using the same methods, while immersing yourself in the unparalleled beauty of the Salmon River and the breathtaking landscapes that surround it.

You will begin your day in the saddle as you ride to the mountain peaks, reaching heights that allow you to soar higher than the eagles gracefully flying below. The experienced guides from Rawhide Outfitters will lead you on an exhilarating horseback journey, providing not only a thrilling experience but also panoramic views that will leave you awe-inspired. Then, after an invigorating ride, indulge in a deluxe picnic-style lunch set against the serene backdrop of the Salmon River. Savor delicious bites while taking in the tranquility of the surroundings, creating a perfect interlude before the next phase of your adventure. Following lunch, you’ll transition to paddling. With the help of your guides from Rawhide River Trips, you will embark on a scenic float down the Salmon River, where the gentle current guides you through captivating landscapes, immersing yourself in the serenity of the river surrounded by nature’s wonders, as you make your way back to the starting point.

You may also choose to add-on a historical storytelling by Judy Washbon throughout your journey, to highlight your adventure along the route of the the Lewis & Clark expedition. Lively and entertaining and so much more than a dry interpretation that simply points out only the geographical locations of the Lewis & Clark expedition, Judy’s talks are entertaining storytelling experiences that bring the actual stories of the expedition to life. Covering not only the major events, but also the lesser known and exciting day to day adventures and personal stories that happened before, during and after the journey. Judy will share stories of the expedition adventures as well as learning about the life, myths and mysteries of the only female member, the young Shoshone native, Sacajawea.

Guests will provide their own vehicle transportation & drive themselves just an hour and fifteen minutes from Triple Creek Ranch to meet their guide in North Fork, Idaho for their adventure. For the Paddle portion of your trip, your guides will provide a life jacket, helmet, fleece if needed, bottled water, inflatable kayak or raft, and paddle. Guests are encouraged to bring water shoes or sandals, sunscreen, sunglasses with chums (straps), & a baseball cap to be worn under their helmet. Guests can also leave a bag with a change of clothes at Rawhide River Trips in the morning that will be waiting for them at the lunch spot.

For the Paddle portion of your adventure, you may choose between two options, with varying rates. The Saddle to Scenic Raft experience is $248 per person, and the Saddle to Kayak experience is $280 per person, and will be added to your cabin invoice. Should you choose to add-on the Historical Storytelling with Judy Washbon, an additional $80 for a half day or $160 for a full day of storytelling, will be added to your cabin invoice as well. Wet suit rentals are also available from Rawhide River Trips for a small fee of $11 each. Cancellation within 30 days is 30%; within 48 hours full price.
