Fly Fishing

Fly Fishing Montana’s Blue Ribbon Waters

How do you catch a fish on a fly? Find out in our Fly Casting Clinics where a professional guide will teach special knots for tying your fly; casting the line; setting the hook and how to bring in your catch. After your lesson, you are ready to fish one of our stocked trout ponds. The kitchen will be delighted to cook up your catch for lunch or dinner! Complimentary fly fishing equipment is available from the Activity Center in the Main Lodge.

If you would like to fish the Bitterroot River on your own, visit with an Activity Coordinator for any equipment needed, a Montana fishing license, and a map to local fishing access. We can direct you to nearby scenic areas just a short drive away. Ask for a cooler of your favorite beverages or have us pack a lunch to take with you.

Triple Creek Ranch also has stocked trout ponds. One is located above the Lodge and another larger pond is in the pasture along the West Fork Road.

For guests who wish to venture out on the Bitterroot River and its tributaries, please ask an Activity Coordinator about going on a full or half-day Fish Float with a professional guide.
