Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Horseback Ride
At 1.3 million acres, the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness is one of the largest designated wilderness areas in the US. It includes mountain ranges and national forests that span Montana and Idaho, and remains one of the most pristine wild frontiers, with much of it only accessible via foot, horseback or small aircraft.
On this adventure you will fly into a roadless region of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness to land at Running Creek Ranch airstrip. The thirty-minute flight to the banks of the Selway River takes you over the awe-inspiring Bitterroot Mountains, then into the untraveled wilderness of Northern Idaho. Once landed, your guide will be waiting to help you saddle up and head out for an unforgettable horseback experience. An additional cost of $1,445 for 2 guests will be added to your cabin invoice ($1,590 for three people). A fifty percent deposit is due upon booking. Cancellation within 48 hours is 50% or if within 24 hours, full price. Please note, because we can only fly into the wilderness, this adventure is subject to weather conditions. Triple Creek Ranch provides a gourmet pack lunch and guests drive themselves to Hamilton Airport, just 40 minutes from Triple Creek Ranch.
