Downhill Skiing at Lost Trail Powder Mountain
Ski Montana and Idaho in the same run!
Spend the day on top of the world skiing the Continental Divide on the Montana-Idaho border. Whether your pleasure is downhill or cross-country, only 30 minutes from the ranch, skiers will enjoy rural western ‘cowboy’ skiing in the Northern Rockies. For Alpine skiing and snowboarding, Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort offers 50+ runs, summit elevation of 8,200 ft., base elevation of 6,400 ft., a vertical drop of 1,800 ft. and an average snowfall of 300 inches per year. Known for its ‘lifts without lines’ and daily fresh powder, you will not be disappointed with “Montana’s Greatest Snow Place.”
The mountain generally opens in early December and runs through the end of March (conditions permitting). Lifts operate “powder” Thursday through Sunday and daily throughout the holidays. Extended holiday hours include Martin Luther King Day and President’s Day. Full ski and snowboard equipment rentals are available as well as demos and group or private lessons. Lost Trail opens at 9:30am and closes at 4:00pm.
A stay at our luxurious all-inclusive ranch resort means we offer a complimentary ski shuttle to and from the mountain, along with complimentary ski passes, ski and snowboard rentals. An Activity Coordinator will assist you with these arrangements including a pack lunch to take with you.
