A stay at our luxurious all-inclusive ranch resort means we offer complimentary lift tickets, ski or snowboard rentals, and a shuttle to and from the mountain.
Spend the day on top of the world skiing or boarding the Continental Divide on the Montana-Idaho border. Only a short 30 minute drive from the ranch, Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort offers a powder filled alpine adventure for Skiers & Snowboarders alike. With 50+ runs, summit elevation of 8,200 ft., base elevation of 6,400 ft., a vertical drop of 1,800 ft., an average snowfall of 300 inches per year, and known for its daily fresh powder & ‘lifts without lines’, you will not be disappointed with “Montana’s Greatest Snow Place.”
An Activity Coordinator will assist you with these arrangements including a pack lunch to take with you. We also keep extra snow parkas, Kenetrek Boots, hats, gloves, and hand or toe warmers on hand, for complimentary guest use to keep you warm on all of your winter adventures!
The mountain generally opens in early December and runs through the end of March (conditions permitting). Lifts operate “powder” Thursday through Sunday and daily throughout the holidays. Extended holiday hours include Martin Luther King Day and President’s Day. Full ski and snowboard equipment rentals are available, as well as demos and group or private lessons. Lost Trail opens at 9:30am and closes at 4:00pm.

For guests who are interested in Cross-Country Skiing, self-guided adventures through the beautifully groomed trails of the Chief Joseph Pass Trail system are also available just across the way from the Ski Hill. With our full range of complimentary nordic ski, boot, & pole sizes available on-ranch for guest use, our Activity Coordinators will be happy to outfit you with the proper equipment for your scenic adventure!
