Soar over the Bitterroot

Tandem skydive with the professional instructors at Skydive Missoula, as you soar above the majestic peaks of the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains, the rolling green valleys, and the winding rivers of Western Montana. The expansive views alone are worth the jump!

No prior experience is needed! Tandem skydiving is ideal for beginners, allowing you to enjoy the thrill while securely harnessed to an expert United States Parachute Association-rated instructor, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience, guiding you every step of the way from pre-jump preparation to a gentle landing.

What to Expect

Guests will provide their own transportation and drive themselves just an hour and fifteen minutes from Triple Creek Ranch to SkyDive Missoula, in Stevensville, MT.

Before taking to the skies, you will be required to sign a waiver and provide some personal information. After watching a short video you will be partnered with your instructor, they will fit you with a harness, and make sure you are dressed appropriately to jump. Once properly prepared, participants will board their aircraft and embark on a scenic flight into the ‘Big Sky’!

Upon achieving optimum jumping altitude, the door will open… and off you jump into the unmatched exhilaration of a full minute of freefall!

Then, soar through the skies on a serene canopy flight followed by a peaceful parachute descent as you enjoy the magnificent scenery of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley, before gently touching down in the landing area. Your instructor will even allow you to pull your own chute if you feel up to the challenge!

Rates are $379/guest for up to 4 jumpers per flight group, (Additional participants / other group members are encouraged to go to the landing area and watch their party land before their turn in-flight!), with a maximum group size of 10. Gratuities for your instructor are not included, and can be paid directly on-site.

Safety Restrictions

– Must be 18 or older date of jump
– Maximum Weight 260lbs. *no exceptions
– Guests 220-260lbs will incur an incremental charge of $10-$40, per 10lbs respectively for added safety precautions.

What is this “AGL” thing?

When talking about skydiving altitude, there are 2 reference points, MSL (Mean Sea Level) and AGL (Above Ground Level). As a skydiver, you care about AGL, which is the distance we fly off the ground. Our airport is at an elevation of 3,600 feet above sea level, so in order to get 13,500 feet of freefall, we must fly to 17,100 feet MSL.

Skydive Missoula is the ONLY drop zone in the region that is authorized by the FAA to fly as high as 18,000 feet above sea level. This affords every jumper the opportunity for a full minute of freefall before deploying the parachute!

Capture the Moment

GoPro Hand-Cam Package ($99): Your instructor uses a GoPro on their hand to capture your jump from their perspective, putting you at the center of the action. It includes:

• Pre-jump interview
• The view from the plane on the way up
• Exiting the aircraft (close-up view)
• You in freefall
• The deployment of the parachute
• You under the parachute with the surrounding views

This video is shot close-up at a wide angle. This gives the viewer an up-close view of you, with some of the surrounding scenery visible. Note: This footage does not include your landing

Outside Perspective Package ($199): A dedicated videographer skydives alongside you, delivering dynamic, wide-angle shots of your freefall and parachute descent. This package offers more comprehensive coverage of your entire skydiving experience. It includes:

• Pre-jump interview
• Boarding the plane
• Views from the ride up
• Exiting the aircraft (wide angle view that shows the plane in the background as you exit)
• You in freefall from multiple angles. The videographer will fly 360 degrees around you, and will also dock on you (take your hand) and spin around with you.
• Your final approach and landing under the parachute
• Post-jump interview
• Group pictures in landing area

This video will capture a wide view of your skydive. It will show a full picture of you in freefall including the plane as you exit, and all the beautiful scenery when you are in freefall. Note: This footage does not include you under the parachute high up (only upon landing). 

Combo “Rock Star” Package ($298): Get the best of both worlds with a combination of instructor-captured footage and external videographer shots. This is the only way to capture every moment of your skydive!

Package charges will be due on-site, paid directly to Skydive Missoula, day-of your experience.

Available mid-April through November 1st, Thursday through Sunday, with possible exceptions Monday through Wednesday for groups of 6 or more.

All activities, times, and pricing are subject to change. Any advance activity bookings may be subject to those changes.

Please note, flight availability is highly weather dependent. For your safety, and the safety of your pilot and instructors, there is a possibility of last minute cancellation due to unfavorable weather patterns. Should your experience be cancelled due to weather, you will not be charged for this activity.
