Guided Snowshoeing On-Ranch

These all-inclusive adventures run 3 times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for groups of up to 4 guests per 90 minute session.

Guided Mountain Snowshoeing Off-Ranch

Learn about the wildlife, winter ecology, natural history, and experience the beauty of the Bitterroot’s winter wonders as you embark on a private half-day snowshoe hiking tour with the expert Outfitters and Naturalists at Bitterroot Alpine Guides, enjoying the quiet stillness and unique beauty of the mountain woodlands in winter.

These 2-2.5 hour excursions are offered at an additional fee, and are booked directly by you so that the entire hike may be fully customized for your individual interests and ability level, with options from purely scenic journeys, to more educationally nature-focused, aerobic/active, and everything in-between.

Complimentary on-ranch pickup and drop-off is included, as well as all necessary gear, equipment, and amenities, including snowshoes, poles, backpack or waist pack, water, and trail snacks. It is recommend that guests dress for an active day outside in appropriate clothing similar to what you would wear skiing, with warm layered clothing and a waterproof outer layer. A winter hat, gloves, warm socks, and warm waterproof boots are required. Sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, a cap with a brim, neck gaiter and a phone/camera are also highly encouraged.

Private Tours run twice daily January through mid-March, from 9:00am – 12:00pm, or 1:00pm – 4:00pm (afternoon times generally preferred for more favorable temperatures). Tours for 1-2 people are $350, 3-4 people are $525, or 5-6 people for $700. Rates do not include gratuity for your guide. Cancellation within 48 hours will incur a 50% cancellation penalty, and day of cancellations are full price. In the event of unprecedented or dangerous weather conditions, should Bitterroot Alpine guides deem the scheduled tour unsafe to proceed, no cancellation penalties will apply.

*Please note that activities, times, and pricing are subject to change. Any advance activity bookings may be subject to those changes.
